Electric Mountain Bike Test Rides and Lots of Raffle Prizes!
After the trail work (around 3:00) we’ll be offering electric mountain bike (eMTB) test rides (weather permitting), while the beverages and snacks are available, AND a bunch of great raffle prizes for the volunteers. This is going to be fun!
Mountain Bikers of Santa Cruz (MBoSC.org) is one of the leading mountain bike clubs in the country. MBoSC has contributed SO much to our local trail environment. With grassroots volunteer energy, local collaboration and an abundance of vision, the MBoSC volunteers and leadership have built the Flow Trail in Soquel Demonstration Forest, the Emma McCrary Trail to connect the City of Santa of Santa Cruz to Henry Cowell, UCSC, and Wilder Ranch, the new Enchanted Forest loop in Wilder Ranch, and several local pump tracks. MBoSC is on the forefront of laying out incredible organic trail plans for the new Cotonou-Coast Dairies National Monument. This is a group with whom you want to associate!
A Hidden Jewell – DeLaveaga Park Trail System
While it’s a smaller trail system, DeLaveaga has challenging technical sections, decent vertical gain, and a dense gorgeous forest. If you’ve not visited, you owe it to yourself to check it out. It’s just a few minutes from downtown Santa Cruz – close enough to ride in/out of town.
